Stand as One

Every faith, every race, every class, one coalition, or the walls stay standing.

About this anthem

Stand As One makes the coalition explicit. Its unity is not vague, sentimental, or built by pretending differences do not exist. It names people across race, faith, gender, and class, then places them on common ground against the forces that benefit from keeping them apart.

The anthem identifies division as a mechanism of power. While communities are separated into silos, harmful laws can be written, vulnerable people can be abandoned, and each group can be persuaded that someone else’s suffering is not its concern. The song answers that strategy with solidarity: injustice cannot be confronted by one community acting alone.

Stand As One is featured on Protect the Least of Us, the moral center of Barking Justice Radio’s Policy Becomes Harm reporting. Where that program tests every law and budget against the people most likely to carry the consequences, this anthem names the coalition capable of demanding a different result: people crossing the boundaries drawn between them and refusing to let anyone face power alone.

Lyrics

Verse 1 — The Problem

They trade our hope for profit, they sell our truth for lies, build their walls of power while the people pay the price. But a mother lifts her child, and her voice cuts through the night, whispers to the heavens: we will rise and fight.

Chorus — The Call

Stand as one, let the broken be strong. Lift the least of us where they belong. No more silence, no more undone. Stand as one, stand as one.

Verse 2 — Naming Injustice

They write their laws for power, to cast the weak aside, but justice is a river and its flood cannot be denied. The hungry still are waiting, the weary still denied, but a fire is burning deeper, and it will not be denied.

Chorus — The Call

Stand as one, let the broken be strong. Lift the least of us where they belong. No more silence, no more undone. Stand as one, stand as one.

Bridge — The Coalition Rising

Black, white, Asian, we are standing strong, Christian, Muslim, Jew, we all belong. Men, women, nonbinary, we raise one song, rich, poor, working class, together we march on.

Final Chorus

Stand as one, let the broken be strong. Lift the least of us where they belong. No more silence, no more undone. Stand as one, stand as one.

Outro

Stand as one. Stand as one. Protect the least of us. Protect the least of us.
